Our time with Ariel was so special. When you think of a what a doula embodies, that is Ariel— she has such a calming, comforting and supportive presence. This was felt by me and my newborn twins, while she provided us with overnight support. Ariel brought her own instincts and experience and was also receptive to our specific requests— I was always relieved to know she was coming to care for the twins overnight to facilitate both them and me getting a good night’s rest. If I could bottle up our time with Ariel I would. We hired her as our postpartum doula at the behest of our friends telling us we needed a night doula, and while reticent and nervous at first having a stranger watching over our first born, we were put at ease after our first meeting with her and her understanding of our goals, wishes, and direction. She was incredibly easy to connect with, communicate with and I never once worried about the safety and well being of my newborn. Her presence is so incredibly welcoming and calming amongst the storm of the fourth trimester. Her guidance and ability to take direction at the same time is unprecedented. I know Nico misses her as we all do! If I’m blessed to have a second I know who my first phone call will be :). I can assure any first time parents looking for her services whether for birth or postpartum will be blessed to have her!
