How early should I book birth support?

Booking earlier gives you the best chance of securing your due window and building a thoughtful prenatal plan.

Can I book postpartum care last minute?

Sometimes yes, depending on current openings. Submit intake and note urgent timing.

Do you offer virtual support outside San Diego?

Yes, virtual support is available for families in other regions.

Rates + session lengths

What is included in birth support?

Birth support is $2,000 and includes two prenatal visits, on-call support, labor support, and one postpartum visit.

How is postpartum support structured?

Daytime postpartum support is $50 per hour and may be provided at home or in the hospital, based on timing and availability.

Are package tiers required?

No. Services are offered with clear individual rates to keep decisions simple.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, accepted plans and benefit networks are listed on the Insurance page and verified through intake.

What if my coverage is partial?

You can combine eligible insurance pathways with direct pay and gift card support.

Do I need referrals or paperwork?

When are contracts sent?

Contracts are shared before postpartum shift approval and before care start.

Is a signed contract required?

Yes, signed agreements are required before first shift and service activation.

What kind of support is provided?

Namaste Mama provides non-clinical doula support: education, emotional support, comfort guidance, postpartum practical care, and full-spectrum support including miscarriage and abortion care.

Nationwide Doula Network

Where is direct care with Ariel available?

Dallas–Fort Worth is Ariel’s primary direct-care market. Families outside Dallas may request an introduction through the nationwide independent-doula referral network.

Are network providers Namaste Mama employees?

No. Network providers are independent providers. Each provider manages their own availability, pricing, agreements, scope of care, and client relationship.

Can doulas apply to join the network?

Yes. Independent doulas can apply through the provider application and share their service area, availability, training, experience, and care approach for review.
